Overview
Microsoft Word Level 1 introduces the essential tools that shape how information is created, shared, and understood in today’s digital world. At our institution, we focus on the ways word-processing skills support accuracy, clarity, and professionalism across every field — from education and business to public service and creative work.
One day in class, your instructor might display a simple document draft. You and your classmates explore how formatting, layout, font choices, and structure influence readability, tone, and the message being conveyed. You discuss what the document communicates intentionally, what it suggests unintentionally, and how design choices affect the audience. Then you revise the document yourselves, applying the core features of Word to transform it into a clear and polished final product.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this course apply their skills across a wide variety of roles in nearly every industry — administrative support, office management, customer service, data entry, accounting, education, hospitality, and government services.
